I have to replace the rear remote box, I'm thinking of buying a remanufacutured one for about a 1000 - 1500 price range. Saw some cheaper stuff on facebook market place but its too sketchy for me. Or just move the remote metal lines to the wheel and try to secure them using some modern connectors mostly being used on new tractors. What is the safest move here?

I'd stick with a remanufactured unit for safety and reliability, especially if it's a critical part like the rear remote box

A remanufactured one is the safe bet and it costs around that price range you said indeed. Don't go for cheaper only because it's cheap. At least give your vehicle the respect for a high quality one hahaha.

I'd reccommend the remanufactured unit in that price range,the peace of mind and warranty make it worth it. Those Facebook deals can be pretty risky. While moving lines and using modern fittings can be effective, there's a chance of things going wrong if it's not done correctly. A reman box is definitely the safer choice

I admit tht the modern connector idea is creative, but I'd be very cautious about making significant modifications to a hydraulic system without expert advice. making sure proper pressure ratings and leak free connections is paramount
