My pastures are mostly tall fescue and the endophyte free variety thankfully and they're okay but nothing special, my neighbor keeps telling me I should interseed with clover for nitrogen fixing and better nutrition but I'm skeptical about the cost in comparison to the benefit. He recommends it but his operation is way bigger than mine, I've only got about 15 acres of pasture and wondering if the investment in seed and the hassle of getting good germination is really going to move the needle for a small setup like mine

he actually right, not just highly cost effective, it can also improved nutrition and animal performance and reduce health risk

The nitrogen fixing is legit, and you'd probably notice better body condition on your animals over time. How many head are you running on those 15 acres?
