I got a farm here in Walla Walla and Im observing a real surge of crows around my fields.. I'm pretty worried as Im about to start planting crops I propagated over the winter.. I heard a report about a farmer in Arkansas i think who had to completely change his planting methods because the number of crow eating his wheat seed. Are these isolated cases or does it also happen elsewhere? Other folks here seeing huge crow populations impacting their spring planting? What are you doing about it? I got to get a handle on this before they ruin my crops..

to deter the crows, you need to spook them away using shiny and reflective objects. Placing these around your farm, or hanging them on trees, washing lines, and all

I only heard people exchanging stories and opinions about it but none from an experience first-hand. We don't have crow problems in our area but they mentioned using reflective strips like what @Abe1980 said, as well as setting up more scarecrows! All the best keeping those crows away!

oof, sorry for that trouble!! i've been hearing about the crow convention making freshly planted fields an all-you-can-eat buffet! if the reflective strips aren't enough, try adding noisemakers? if you got the budget, you can even look into more sophisticated sonic devices! that would drive them crazy and far, i bet :))))

Hey there, checking back on your crow problem, how are things looking now with your fields? Did you find any ways to keep those pesky birds away from your new crops? @Neville.D2
