I bought what the manual called for and they're too lose to trust. Does anyone in the Ohio Valley area have a go to supplier or part number that's worked for them?

Have you checked the fitment specs?, or maybe go one size down for a tighter fit, local shops should have better quality stuff than big box stores, you could hit up a specialty supplier or machine shop to get something more precise

Will check some local machine shops if I have to. I'm trying to find the correct factory spec for the bolt to avoid any guesswork. Does anyone happen to know the proper grade and diameter for the 1840s shear bolt?

@Mapcmsns for the MF 1840 shear bolts, factory spec is typically Grade 5, around 7/16" diameter, but a lot of manuals list generic numbers that don’t always fit perfectly. If you’re finding them too loose, hitting up a local farm supply or machine shop with that spec usually gets you something tighter and reliable.
