New Holland 340 baler question

My FIL suggested I buy a New Holland 340 baler
Does anyone have one of these?
I'm really curious about what the lowdown is on it? Any major headaches I should know about?
Looking at one that's baled 16,000 for 47 grand.
Think that's a decent deal? Planning on doing 2-3 thousand bales a year.
Worth it, or nah? What do you reckon?

It's a good one! Your FIL has got taste. What you're looking at is already a good deal as long as it's well-maintained. If you're only using it for moderate jobs, go for it.

good machines but like any baler, they have their quirks, look out for any major wear on the knotter assembly, as that can be a pain point. As for the price, 16,000 bales for $47k isn't bad, but it all depends on condition.

That price isn't crazy, but I'd definitely want to see service records and check the knotters and plunger wear before handing over 47K. and if everything checks out, I'd say go for it
