Hi all. Rain has been great and all for the hay but we're getting too much pigweed! Can i still use 24D or do you have a better suggestion on what i can use?

Spraying might not be a good idea at this point but have you tried herbicides like dicamba? but check the labels to see what they reco for pigweed size. hope this helps!

@onionsoup8 at this stage, 2,4-D can work on smaller pigweed, but if it’s getting tall or thick, dicamba or a tank mix might be more effective. Always follow the label for timing and rates to avoid damaging your hay.

At this point, 2,4-D can still work on young pigweed, but you’ll likely need something stronger like dicamba or a tank mix like Alan mentioned. Timing and correct rates make a big difference, too. To emphasize.
