remove haybine rubber rolls?

Rubber rolls of my new holland 479 haybine are worn out so it's giving me a headache.. I can't seem to plug heavy, wet grass hay.
I'm considering removing the rolls entirely and just use it like a sickle bar mower.
I'm also just concerned because the rolls are linked to the drive system so I'm not sure how that will affect the whole thing..
Will my idea work? Any advice?

Removing the rubber rolls might let you use it like a sickle bar mower but could disrupt the drive system and overall functionality. Have you considered replacing the rolls or checking for a/m alternatives to keep the machine running smoothly? @i_like_grass

I tried pulling a move like that with my old mower, I thought ditching the rolls would solve the clogging, but it just threw everything off, I ended up with a messy cut, I then replaced the rolls, and it ran way smoother. If you're dead set on removing them, just know it might mess with how the whole thing works

Don't remove the rubber rolls... it's gonna cause lots of imbalance or damages to your system. If it's worn out, just replace or rebuild. No use in removing completely.
