Anyone using B-wrap for baling hay?

I am thinking about using B-Wrap to bale my second cutting of alfalfa. I need to store it outside for a long time. It seems like a good idea for keeping the hay dry and protected from the weather. Does anyone here have experience with B-Wrap and does it really protect the hay as well as they say it does? I'm hoping it's a better solution than a tarp.

B-Wrap is great for keeping stuff outside for a long time. It handles wetness better than tarps, so things don't spoil as much. Just be sure your bales are packed tight and put them where water drains away easily.

Yeah, it forms a weatherproof seal that outperforms tarps. The secret is in how it's applied, make sure to wrap it tightly, overlap the layers well, and secure the ends properly. It does a fantastic job protecting against rain and UV damage. However, it can be a bit pricey, and once the hay is wrapped, checking its condition isn't as easy. Still, if you apply it right, it's definitely worth it for long-term outdoor storage

Agree with the responses above. I used B-Wrap last season for my second cut, it was stored outside for nearly a year. It held up great, way better than tarps in wind and rain. Bales stayed clean and dry, but it did slow down baling a bit and the wrap isn't cheap. It's good if you're storing long-term.

Second cutting though, that's your premium stuff. How is your moisture level at baling like? seen guys lose bales to mold even with wrap if they baled too wet. Its been quite a while, so what was it like then?
